Learning Express is made up of several components, all designed to help your child succeed in school. In addition to academics, the program offers daily enrichment classes, such as PE, interest-based clubs (cooking, art, etc) and homework assistance.

Ongoing work with Project Cornerstone supports our staff and students as we strive to instill Asset Development in our youth. The 41 Developmental Assets are the essential building blocks of healthy child and youth development and include adult role models, positive peer influence, caring school climate and a sense that community values youth.

Learning Express is largely subsidized by a state ASES grant which is able to provide a low cost program based on a sliding scale payment structure. Families will be required to turn in official paperwork verifying income in order to determine the monthly amount they will need to pay.

To be eligible for Learning Express students must be invited to participate by their classroom teacher and be in need of additional academic support in language arts and/or math. Participants must also commit to attend until 6:00pm daily. It is available to students in grades 1-5.
